Beauty Talks with Imanol Marrero, Mister Hatillo Model 2012 (EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW)!

Beauty Talks with Imanol Marrero, Mister Hatillo Model 2012!

Imanol Marrero was described our readers as Carlos Ponce look-alike. On the other hand, the Beauty Mania staff pointed out that Imanol has a strong resemblance with Jaime Augusto Mayol (Manhunt International 2006) who was also a Puerto Rican. Imanol is credited for his strong masculine beauty, perfect for the male pageants like Manhunt International (if the MPR Organization decides to sent him to compete). In physical aspects, we can say that Imanol is gifted with sensual eyes!

BM: For the benefit of our international readers who may not be familiar with you, give us your story from before the Misters of Puerto Rico competition to where you are today.

IMANOL: Prior to me joining Misters of Puerto Rico, I was a classic ballet dancer since the age of 7. I was fortunate to dance for several important ballets such as, New York City Ballet Company, London Center School of Ballet and Ballet de San Juan. After 15 years in ballet I made a career change and became a cosmetologist. This has allowed me to work as a cosmetology beauty consultant for the Miss Puerto Rico Universe Pageant.

BM: What prompted you to join Misters of Puerto Rico 2012 pageant? What makes you a stand out in this competition?

IMANOL: What motivated me to enter the Misters of Puerto Rico pageant was that this is the only pageant with local and international prestige that has a solid beauty platform in Puerto Rico. It is my opinion that my discipline and compromise are assets that will allow me a great opportunity to succeed in these events.

BM: Since Beauty Mania is a site dedicated to beauty, our readers want to know what beauty is meant to you.

IMANOL: Beauty is the image of a person that has the qualities of succeeding in transmitting a message through his or her talents. Beauty is a complement of intelligence and compromise.

BM: You’ve been busy since the Misters of Puerto Rico 2012 competition has started, how would you balance your personal training work, participating in the pageant’s main events, and still stay in such amazing condition?

IMANOL: Discipline is the main objective in being able to complete all the required tasks of staying fit, and participating in all pageant’s events. Being able to organize priorities in all my life’s events is also a must to succeed such challenges.

BM: What kind of exercises or workouts do you do?

IMANOL: I go to the gym at least 5 days a week, sometimes, twice a day. Cardio and strength exercises are part of my intensive workout routine.

BM: Do you follow any diet? If so, what kind of diet do you follow?

IMANOL: A diet high in protein derived from fish, green vegetables and small portions of carbs.

BM: We are just curious; do you have any facial beauty secrets?

IMANOL: I splash cold water in my face, followed by tonic and vitamin D & E before sleep.

BM: What part of your body are you proud of?

IMANOL: My eyes, since they transmit sensuality and projection.

BM: What part of your body do you think needs improvement?

IMANOL: The body is always in evolution.

BM: Can you tell which part of your body is the most vulnerable?

IMANOL: My lower back.

BM: Sleep is important for a man to stay handsome at all times. How many hours of sleep do you get per night? Any sleeping routines?

IMANOL: I sleep 6 to 8 hours each night

BM: How do you cope up with stress?

IMANOL: Focusing in what I want, my goals and dreams.

BM: Do you take any nutritional supplements/ vitamins? If so, what are those and why?

IMANOL: I usually take proteins, amino acids, glutamines and multivitamins

BM: Can you describe to us your fashion sense and style?

IMANOL: Elegant and trendy.

BM: Finally, what message can you give to all readers of Beauty Mania, especially to those young men who want to follow your footsteps as Misters of Puerto Rico candidate?

IMANOL: First of all, it is necessary to have strong moral values that will enable you to keep perspective that your dreams must be tied to your responsibilities towards your family, community and country.  Projecting these values through your emotional intelligence, coupled with you physical beauty, product of intense training and discipline are the essence of a Misters titleholder.
